Lego Brick Olympics

The Winter Olympics Opening Ceremonies kick off February 7th!  We’re enjoying this week with some Lego Brick Olympics!

I searched & printed  2014 Winter Olympics Event Symbols {pictograms} and let the boy decide which ones he wanted to create.

Part of the fun – guessing some of these challenging events! The boy worked on building a few events: curling, snowboarding, and hockey.

This was a little challenging since he did not use round Legos, but square bricks!  I was impressed with his ability to make the brick creations so similar to the pictograms!  The first sport picked was snowboarding since we just returned from our annual snowboarding trip to Park City!

The last set of Lego Brick Olympics he wanted to make included: speed skating, figure skating, and freestyle aerials (my favorite).

We were lucky to join the excitement earlier in January and watched live freestyle skiing aerials at Deer Valley Resort  - which was unbelievably amazing!  But what would the Winter Olympics be without bobsledding?!

Enjoy these brick creations, learn about these amazing winter sports, and make your own Lego Brick Olympics this week!  Tag us on Instagram - we absolutely love seeing your brick creations!

I think the {free} Olympics Pack from 3Dinosaurs is perfect for Little Man!

*note – I’m not sure why these photos turned out yellow – the boy used white and blue bricks, but I just didn’t have the time (nor patience) to take more photos.
