S.O.A.P. Worksheet ~ Goats and Sheep

I have started using the S.O.A.P. method of bible study with the boy. He has been doing bible study characters, traits, and stories since Kindergarten. Now that he is 11yrs old I wanted to start really seeing what he thinks of what Jesus said. It’s also great penmanship practice.

What is the difference?  Physically they have just a few – to someone who isn’t a shepherd I wouldn’t be able to tell.  But when you watch them you can see.  It’s their behavior!  Goats go their own way.  Sheep follow.

My husband pointed out, “you don’t see a sheep roping contest, but they do have goat roping contests!”

We talked about what it means to follow and what it means to go our own way.  We also talked about the goats and the sheep together – that sometimes Christians do a better job blending in with each other than following Christ.

The boy decided to draw the goats walking away from Christ.  At judgement they will be placed on his “left” – away from the sheep who follow Him. Print this two page worksheet Goats and Sheep and discuss what your children think about this teaching!
